Note: 
  1. Attempt any five questions.
  2. All questions carry equal marks.
  3. In case of any doubt or dispute the English version question should be treated as final.
1. a) The distance between Hyderabad and Mumbai is 1200 km. A train covers this distance in 20 hours. R.F. of the scale is 1/400,000. Draw a plain scale to measure time up to a single minute. Show the distance covered by the train in 26 minutes. 7 Marks

1. b) A fountain jet discharges water from ground level at an inclination of 50° to the ground. The jet travels a horizontal distance of 9 m from the point of discharge and falls on the ground. Trace the path of the jet. 7 Marks

2. a) Write the conceptual difference between the first angle and third angle projection. 7 Marks

2. b) A straight line AB, 55 mm long makes an angle of 30° to the H.P. and the 45° to the V.P. The end A is 12 mm in front of V.P. and 15 mm above H.P. Draw the projection of the line AB. 7 Marks

3. a) A regular Pentagon of side 25 mm, has one of its side in the H.P. The plane is perpendicular to the H.P. and inclined at 45° to the V.P. Draw the projections of the pentagon. 7 Marks

3. b) A right circular cone of 35 mm diameter of base and axis 50 mm long is resting on a one of its generators on horizontal plane with its axis parallel to the V.P. Draw its projections. 7 Marks

4. A pentagonal prism, side of base 25 mm and axis 60 mm long, rests with one of the edges of its base on HP. Its axis is inclined at 30° to HP and parallel to VP. It is cut by a horizontal section plane passing through the highest corner of the base. Draw the sectional top view. 14 Marks

5. a) A hexagonal pyramid of 20 mm side and 50 mm height is resting on a horizontal plane on its base. Draw the isometric projection of the pyramid. 7 Marks

6. A cylinder having 40 mm diameter of base and 60 mm long axis is resting on its base on the H.P. It is cut by a section plane perpendicular to the V.P. and inclined at 45° to the H.P. The section plane is passing through the top end of the extreme generator. Draw the development of the lateral surface of the truncated cylinder. 14 Marks

7. A room 4 m x 4.5 m x 6 m is fitted with an electric lamp at the centre of the room, l m below the ceiling. The switch is at one comer, 2.5 meters above the floor level. Draw the top view and front view of the room and determine graphically the distance between the switch and Light. 14 Marks
